The ten municipalities in the Calgary Metropolitan Region are working together to develop a long-term plan for managed, sustainable growth in the region, and we have some choices to make.

Should we continue growing the way we have in the past, or do we want to do things differently? And if we do want to do things differently, how can we work together in a way that allows the Region to grow and that reflects the needs and priorities unique to communities in the Calgary Metro Region?

We need your help to find the common values from residents across the region so that we can better understand the common benefit that regional planning can provide. Tell us what kind of choices will make your community the place you want to live, work, and play as the next million residents join this great region!

Between July 24 and September 4, we're gathering public feedback on different ways to approach growth so that the views of our communities are reflected in the policies of the Regional Growth Plan.

We've developed three scenarios showing possible results that might happen if we make different choices about how to approach growth in the region. We're asking you to help us understand what parts about different scenarios you like and what you don't like so that we can make choices that reflect the priorities and interests unique to our communities in the Calgary Metro Region. We’re not trying to make every community the same, but rather want to celebrate our differences and stick to our common values as we plan for growth.
